Have a sweet day

I'm starting my first day at a new job: baking cookies and cupcakes for the Teacake Bake Shop!  Wish me luck! xo.

Best of Spring 2010: Jason Wu

From his simple-yet-chic daywear to his glitter and glam cocktail dresses, Jason Wu has wooed me once again.  There's a bit of a fifties flair in these waist cinching silhouettes, but the fabric choices and embellishments are anything but retro.  Jason Wu is certainly a designer to keep an eye on.

Karl's Quote du Jour

"The imagination can transform all sorts of personal insanity into elements of self-invention, and you need to make use of this."

Photo Love.

{images by the sartorialist via garance dore}

"The complexity of an adolescent, the vulnerability of a man, the strength of a child. The fragility in the determined stride of a woman.

It’s the same with photography. Who cares about perfection when you can capture a moment saturated with life?"

                                  -Garance Dore describing the Sartorialist

*Sidenote: I find such happiness in the fact that my two favorite fashion photographers are dating!

Summer of Love

{we heart it via all for fashion}

I'm enjoying the last few lazy days of summer before I start a new job on Monday.  As I work on getting my children's line off the ground, I'm going to be simultaneously spending time on my other great passion, baking!    So if you are in the SF Bay area, stop by Teacake Bake Shop  to taste my treats!

The Neglectful Blogger

{Feminin Foraar via Design Formula}

I know I've been quite absent of late.  How very uncouth of me.  I've been slaving away in my one-woman sweatshop trying to finish up the fall collection of my new children's wear line (pictures coming soon!).  I promise to post more, especially with New York Fashion Week right around the corner.  So check back for post on the good, the bad, and the outright absurd in and around the tents this season.
